Do I need to register for classes?
Drop-in classes do not require pre-registration. New students will be required to sign liability waivers before class starts.
Classes that are offered in a series (choreography classes or specialty classes) do not require pre-registration, but some are limited in size, so it is best to pre-register to guarantee your space. Some classes also require a minimum number of participants or may be subject to cancellation. New students will be required to sign liability waivers before class starts.
How early should I arrive to class?
If you are a new student, please arrive about 10 minutes before your class starts. If you are an existing student, please arrive no later than 5 minutes before your class starts. The door will be locked once class has been in session for 5 minutes. No students are permitted to enter the class after this point unless previous arrangements have been made with the instructor. If there is another class in session when you arrive, please wait in the store until the class finishes. Please refrain from being noisy when another class is in session.
What should I wear to class?
For belly dance or burlesque style classes: Wear something similar to what you would wear to the gym, yoga pants or shorts, or any type of fitness apparel. Tighter clothing is best so you can see your movements, but not required. You are not required to show your stomach in class, but you might want to so you can see your movements more clearly. Barefoot is easiest for class, but you can wear socks, slippers, dance shoes or dance paws.
For Zumba classes: wear athletic clothing and fitness shoes. Bring water!
Are there age requirements for classes?
Students must be 14 or older to attend classes, though there are some classes that require a student to be 18 or older (please check specific class description). A parent or guardian must sign a liability waiver for those under 18 years of age. There is no child care available during class sessions, please do not bring children to any of the classes.
Can I observe a class before attending?
We do not allow observers. A drop-in class is a perfect way to decide if you would like to attend classes without the obligation of a full session.
